How You Can Make Your Child Find Homework Fun

Is your child getting bad grades? Are you finding it tough to get homework done from your children of 3 to 10 years ? These are the common problems which parents usually face. Many a times, parents resort to scolding or punishing their children to get them complete the homework. Shouting, screaming or scolding children never works. Instead it makes children even more stubborn. Here are a few tips that will help you make your children realize the importance of school, studies and complete homework:

Spend quality time with your child to enhance his child development
Fixed schedule for homework
Set up a fixed scheduled time every day for homework. But remember, a schedule that works in one family may not work in another. For instance, one child may work best in the afternoon while the other might prefer to work in the evening after an afternoon nap. Figure out what works best for your child and family and then set a regular time for homework.

Quiet place to study
Create an environment in the study room which is quiet and has sufficient light. Besides the room must be devoid of any distractions that means no TV, music system or anything which can distract the child. This will help your child to develop concentration and focus completely on homework.

Stay in touch with your child's teachers
As a parent, it is very important that you regularly communicate with the school teacher of your child. This is the best way to know how your child is behaving in class, interacting with other children, responding to the classwork and activities and so on. Make it a point to attend all the parents-teacher meetings in the school which will help you stay updated on your child's development.

Be a role model
Children pick up lots of habits by watching their parents. Hence set a good example before your children by reading and writing yourself. Share with your children about the work you do or any book you are reading. And involve him or her in extracurricular activities which give the child valuable exposure such as a visit to the museum or zoo, narrating a story, going to the library, playing educational games, dabbling in art and craft and so on.

Watch a motivational video
Apart from all this, watch a motivational video with your children of 3 to 10 year. These inspirational quotes and videos offer practical parenting tips and guide you on how to make children do their homework and how to tackle behavioral problems in them.

Besides these motivational video messages are equally beneficial for children of 3 to 10 years. These beautiful and highly inspiring videos contain meaningful messages of life wisdom which will not only convey to your children about the benefits of doing studying but also inspire them towards putting in their best efforts for achieving their goals and dreams.
